I swear, TAKEN BY FORCE might be one of the worlds most underrated albums. Ever. Buy it, steal it, borrow it, tape it, burn it.
Thanks for Gary for finding this one. Sweet fuck. Must be watched about 150 times to get all the hilarity.
I hope I get a sweet sweet package in the mail today with a Matador stamp on it. Got the vinyl of the new TNV album, which comes with a poster, and two 7"s. Way too jackt.

Pavement are set to reform for gigs in New York in 2010, according to reports.
According to the Brooklyn Vegan the Stephen Malkmus-led band, who split in 1999, will play multiple shows on the US city's Central Park SummerStage next September.
The former members of the revered California band have hinted that they may reform for live shows at various times.
In January guitarist Scott Kannberg said the band may reunite to play at the Coachella festival, although the reformation did not materialise. Last year he said the band could reunite to play a gig to mark their record label Matador's 20th anniversary.
I am going to book time off for this. Totally going. LETS DO IT!!!!!!!!

Fuckin love my Valient Thorr. This video gets me slightly too jackt. Best parts are when the guitarist, bassest and singer take turns doing cymbol grabs. Too wicked.
CRANK IT!!
CRANK IT!!
So I decided as a cool project to take head shots of my fave singers or rockers in general, and do my own thing with each of them. I will eventually frame them and cover my one wall in my apartment. Off the top of my head I plan on doing Mike Patton, Phil Lynott, Kurt Cobain, D.C. Berman, Freddy Murcury, Hugh Dillion, among many others. I already started to fuck around with Steve Malkmus. The original one looked way too close to the Death From Above album cover so I quickly gave up on it. Only to come back the next day and swap some colours. It will hopefully look really cool once i have like 20 of them framed. We will see.
I know someone made the same thing years ago about the superbowl, but this is just as hilarious. I love the Verve line.
I think I might have to set up my VCR tonight and watch my most prized VHS tape. HARD. ROCK. ZOMBIES. This movie is beyond a classic. You got hard rock, horrible acting, zombies, and Hitler. Yes. Hitler.
I am making my first appearance at Nicks cottage this weekend, and I promised to do some homework. Homework consisting of learning Black Sabbath's Volume 4 start to finish. Gotta say this album is really pumping me up a lot. This may be the album that actually breaks the seal and gets me into Sabbath. The debate is who do I like more, Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath. I always said Maiden, but to quote track 3 of this record...."I'm going through changes."
Check you the first song, especially during and after the solo. Holy fuck! Make sure not to miss St. Vitus' Dance. Killer fucking tune.
