I think everyone and their mother should watch Breaking Bad...if you have not already. Not since Six Feet Under has a show blown me away like this. Its so addictive and amazing. I never seen story telling like this. Each episode is as dense as an episode of Arrested Development. WATCH IT!
Spent Friday night in Guelph for the yearly Ribfest. Went with Ash Bash, Motel, and KG. It was good to go, even though it felt like it was late October.
This picture fucking rules, except that I now realize I am an ogre.
Saturday KG and I went to Toronto, I dropped her off and went to Axls house. Loaded up the truck and moved everything to the Treeroot. The basement apartment of the infamous Treehouse. Once everything was moved we relaxed for a bit then we all went out to The Madison to meet up with Karl and Sarah, only to realize there was a massive line up. So we all went to The Pour House.
Axeman wanted to go to the Bovine to see a couple people from work, so they all got in a cab, then Sars, Krazy and I got into another. There was a line and cover, so we decided to go to Teds where Nick, Mikey, Columbian and a shit load others were there. Got hammered, and did some serious Thin Lizzy, Halen dances. I got a lot of this day on video and will post that at some point. Slept on Karls floor. Good fuckin times.

Cranked the fuck out of this tune this morning, then hit repeat 3 times.
On a side note, this video was taken at Southgate House. The worlds greatest venue. Cannot wait for the GBV show there!

In my never ending quest to catch up on 90's bands I missed out on, as well as always trying to catch up on anything Albini has worked on, I got the album SUPERSONIC STORYBOOK from Urge Overkill. Ill be damned if it isn't a rocker. Lotta really good tunes on there. I guess I never gave em a shot on account of only knowing their Neil Diamond cover from Pulp Fiction.
This album actually kinda reminds me of that Sweet Apple album that I bought last month.
God bless the 90's
On a side note, a funny story about the infamous GBV UO tour:
Guided by Voices served as opening act for Urge
Overkill on the Chicago trio's late '95 tour. But,
feeling the pinch of 30-minute sets and getting
the nightly bum's rush from the UO road crew,
Pollard's temper boiled over one night in Toronto.
That was the night the band came out for an encore
but roadies started to break down their equipment
to prepare for the main act. Pollard took offense,
and shoving ensued."And the bouncer, whom I'd been
spilling beer on all night, came up and punched me."
Pollard said he felt the band had been "betraying"
fans who paid $ 20 for a mere half-hour of opening
act material. So Guided by Voices soon dropped
out of the tour.
Garage rock at its purest.

Came home, did some dishes, Adrian and Tony popped in for a beer. Scotty and Nick came over after that. Got pumped up and cranked vinyl. Refused. Kittens. The Jesus Lizard. Went out.
