I totally forgot I made this way back when. Basically just a test shot I was working on using a bunch of GBV/Pollard album covers.

Props to Neddy for the links.
Laura made what is probably the best lasagna that I have ever had, even though she doesn't believe me when I say such things. I would save some and offer them to loved ones, but I am way too selfish when it comes to such deliciousness. You will have to settle for the sights of this meal, and chew on the taste of jealousy, which I can tell you doesn't come close to tasting as good.
Mariachi El Bronx will be opening up for Foo Fighters at the Buffalo show we are going to in September. Pretty excited. I am not the biggest fan of the Mariachi version of the Bronx, but I will take it.
Probably the funniest video in a while. I cried from laughing so hard. Watch the guy in the middle trying hard to keep his cool.
Laura and I hit up the Pinery this past weekend. We somehow managed to find a site that was open friday and saturday, with the only issue being they were not the same site. Saturday morning we ended up taking out the pegs from our tent and walking our entire tent to our new site.
Friday night we got there late and set up. We left our site around 11 at night or so took and walked to Szabo and Kats camp site. We walked for what seemed like forever. It was pitch black and if it was not for our head lamp, we would see sweet fuck all. It took over 45 minutes to walk there, but it was worth it to crank some tunes and walk on the beach that was totally empty except for our group (Szabo, Kat, Adrian, Columbian Dave, Marnie, Laura, and I).
The only shitty part was walking back to our site at 2am. We found out the next day that our walk was about three and a half KMs between sites. Bad idea.
We hit the beach a couple of times which was really bad ass. The waves were fucking mental, and fun as hell. If you have not hit the Pinery I highly suggest you do.

Holy fuck this is going to be funny.
Bad ass video from a recent show Mogwai played. This song will NEVER get old.
I just spent the last couple of hours working on this intro animation. So far I am really happy with it, and I cannot wait to finish it up, and get to the tweaking stage. Gary and Jess seem really excited by it so that pumped me up.

I am looking to challenge myself and my After Effects skills so I figure what better way than to try and rip off one of the kings of motion graphics, Saul Bass (just like every other so called Motion Graphics Designers out there). I figure instead of making up a fake movie again to animate a sequence to, I would use Gary and Jess' wedding as inspiration. Maybe if I actually get to finish it, and its half decent, Gary will use it.
Here is a mock up graphic I made which I will animate.
Big day today, the new Jicks record is out! I did my best to avoid the leaks and wanted to wait until release day, and I pretty much made it, outside of downloading the Japanese bonus track Polvo. I missed the excitement I used to have waiting for Tuesday release day for an album I am dying to hear. Don't get me wrong, I am an iTunes/iPod whore, but there is something about listening to an album (CD and/or vinyl) start to finish that makes it easier and more fun to get into an album. With my self diagnosed ADD, I skip songs way too easily on my iPod, and its a pain in the ass. What better way to get into a record than starting up your car and the tunes just continue? Also we are talking about a Matador release here! The best smelling booklets known to man!
Big day....big day!
NP: Pavement - Westie Can Drum
And my favorite Head tune to boot!
FUCK YEAH!
FUCK YEAH!
These two songs played one after another on my phone and I had a laugh when I saw the album covers together.

I went to the folks for lunch today when I herd what sounded like a thousand Mogwai shows in the sky. I guess there is an air show not too far away. Loudest and scariest and coolest noise I ever herd
I found this posted on the GBV board, and I never herd this song before. Pretty fucking great.
