As usual, we have been going through the usual Christmas movie list this year, and today its time for Trading Places. I keep forgetting just how amazing this movie is. This scene alone has more laughs than all of Dumb and Dumber To, which I saw last night, and is probably the worst film I have seen all year.
Encore managed to get a bunch of copies of the Fantomas box set, which was a delayed release from this past Record Store Day Black Friday.
I was blown away to hear them say it is 80 bucks. It was my understanding from the Ipecac website, that the price would be anywhere between $100 and $150, so this is pretty amazing.
I was bummed to see that they did not use the original album art for this box set, but once I got this monster in my hands I realized how beautiful it is.
I stumbled upon this on the Vimeos last night, and it kind of blew my mind. This group of animators recreated the opening titles to the Tales From The Crypt TV show completely in 3D. I had to watch it several times, and up close, and even then I couldn't believe it was created in 3D. Awesome work.

Due to my compromised bank account, it was another cheap weekend at home. We set up the tree and watched a bunch of Christmas goodness. Old Married with Children, Roseanne, Simpsons, Tales from the Crypt, and Office episodes. My work holidays are coming up, and I am fired up.
10 days until showtime. |

Laura bought me Book of Mormon tickets for my Christmas present. It was hilarious. |
Check out this great 60 Minutes piece on Book of Mormon, Matt and Trey.
One Way Static once again asked me to do a rush job, and make a video advert for their release of the Nekromantik soundtrack. I tried to recreate the title sequence using my own hand writing, and Lauras scanner. I am really not a fan of this film at all, mostly because of the animal killing, but this trailer was fun to make.
Here are the scanned in images of my hand written words, using a sharpie on the back of an auto receipt.
Here is the final video from the Vimeo page of One Way Static Records.
