Final poster art for this years Like A Bastard Drive-In Halloween Special in Pittsburgh. 5 different versions will be printed out by Tirpak. Jackt.
A couple of test prints. These are way smaller than the final version which is 14x28.
Another action packed weekend with some pals visiting. Friday night we had a mini Simpsons season 5 marathon on The Serpentine Pad Drive-In screen. Steve and Paisley joined us for some pie iron sandwiches (both pizza and cherry pies), then later on Joe showed up with 3 of his pals. Good times.
Saturday morning Aaron and Tara came over, and we headed to Elora for some tubing and walking around. We got back to our place for an outside nap, then hit up the Waterloo truck fest, and walked over to White Rabbit. After that we hit out backyard again, and watched The Lost Boys. Lauras favourite backyard film.
Sunday we took off for Port Stanley and hung out on the beach and swam. Good times.
JayboVideo now has some staff picks on the top shelf. Turns out that Hard Core Logo is a big fan favourite.
I took a couple of hours to put this quick animation together of an animated Tales from the Crypt comic book. I found a bunch of random high res images of some Tales comic pages and animated them flipping. I then took a cover that I thought could be easily photoshopped, for the purposes of animating. I threw in some sounds and some music, and hit render. I could tweak this animation to death and really add a lot of cool ideas, but really I am already kind of bored of it, and have moved onto other ideas. Here it is, pretty much unfinished, but whatevs.

Just a quick comic book page flip animation test. This is unfinished as I need to tweak it, and smooth out some parts, but I have to move onto other projects now.
Some dude dropped off a several hundred soundtracks on vinyl at my beloved Encore. Chris said I can go through them if I would like. Thankfully I only found two that I would like, cuz this could really have been an expensive venture. I got Weird Science for 6 bucks, and the Sammy Hagar led Over the Top for 1 buck!
I have some projects on the go simultaneously. I am animating the cover art we did for Treephones for possible use at live shows. I am playing around with an animated comic book, and thirdly I am helping Lyndon out with a title sequence for his series.

Two stills from this comic book animation. I am using old Tales From The Crypt images, natch. |
