With Apollo Cinema showing Fire Walk With Me next month, I thought it would be a good time to do a little Twin Peaks marathon to catch people up before the big event.  I am just talking about Treephones here, but still.  Marathon at my place, February 11th.  Saturday starting at noon.

I found another gem (I hope) at Value Village for a buck. I had never heard of Pink Motel, but it looks like an 80s sex comedy picture, so it cant be all bad. Then I rolled on down to the Orange Monkeys to score a Deerhunter album, but ended up walking out with a Curtis Mayfield album too.

Torin's feature 3 Dead Trick or Treaters will be playing next month at Apollo with the all time classic, Halloween III.  He contacted me and asked if I could cut together a teaser for the even to be played at Apollo.

Bones and I hit up the Apollos last night for the Golden Mile.   They had a screening of The Worlds End, and TWB had a beer tasting night.  Basically every second bar that the boys hit in the movie, the Apollo staff would come down and pour a new beer in your glass.  It was a great time.

An all day 80's teen sex comedy movie marathon will be taking place soon at The Serpentine Pad.  Food menu will included Pulled Porky's, and Nerds candy.  Details to follow.

Also got this wicked Modest Mousesque pillow from Ned and Michelle.

Finally found a copy of the elusive (to me) VHS copy of Ghost World.  Found it at the Value Village for a solid loonie.  I love this movie.

I kept a list of films that I watched all year.  I am not sure if there is anything that I would call my favourite movie, but Neon Demon is up there probably.  I hated it at first, but after a couple of days, and another viewing of it, I really ended up loving it.



Ex Machina is great, but I think that was a 2015 flick.  Green Room is another top film for me, really intense and well done.

All in all, a pretty shitty year for new movies.

A big shout out goes to my Apollo Cinemas for another year of amazing lineups, the highlights being a Mexican food themed From Dusk Til Dawn, a chicken and stuffing themed Christmas Vacation, and an awesome snow storm night screening of A Christmas Story.  Best theatre in the world is a 20 minute walk from my house.

I chucked out the tree, as well as the third love seat to make more room.  Way less claustrophobic in there, and I now have easy access to my tunes.

Hesher was purring like a motor boat for an hour when I got home.  I was so tired that I passed out early on the couch, and woke up at 2am with this little furball sleeping on me.  She missed her furnace.
