My beloved Apollo Cinema is having a 90's film fest celebration all week. Jim and I stopped by Friday night to see the classic Boogie Nights. Easily one of my favourite films ever. Tonight I might swing by to check out Silence of the Lambs, as I have been meaning to revisit that one for some time.
So many great titles this week, but so many more I wish they had lined up. Empire Records, Slacker, Swingers, etc.
I am stoked for Clerks though, as it is on my Top 5.
Monday June 26th: Silence of the Lambs, In The Mouth of Madness
Tuesday June 27th: Clueless, Fight Club
Wednesday June 28th: Clerks, Reservoir Dogs
Thursday June 29th: End of School Kegger - Dazed and Confused, Starship Troopers
The Eric's Trip discography has been riding shotgun with me all week. Love Tara is a full on obsession now.
I just received the new American Lips album from Adrian himself. I am stoked to finally have a copy as there are some killer jams on here.
The folks at the worlds greatest movie theatre contacted me about creating a couple more film titles for them, and I am sending them in as I have the time. Here are the four latest.
Really great weekend to be outside, which is pretty much all I did. Tonz and the Boyz came by Friday night for some sweet BBQ burgs and S'mores around the firepit. Lots of fun times.
Matthew wanted a 24 hour break from his kids so he came by on Saturday and we just sat by the firepit the entire day cooking ribs and having some pops. Badmotorfinger was cranked as well. Later on Jaclyn joined us to watch Karate Kid on the Shady Lane Drive In Screen.
Sunday Laura and Graham came over for a visit too. Lots of fun times.
Below is a series of images of our Saturday meal. I followed a BBQ Pit Boys recipe for country style pork ribs, and god damn are they ever good!

After years of working on it, I finally got around to finishing both the video edit, audio remaster, and cover art of my 3 hour 90s music video party playlist. Throw this bastard on and crank it up!
Friday night was the opening night of the Shady Lane Drive-In, and of course Sleepaway Camp was shown. Pretty good turn out, including Joe, Treephones, Bones, Tara and Jaclyn. Had a big feast as well.
Jeremy came by on Saturday to stay for a couple of days.

While doing dishes last night I heard a big bang and a crash on my patio. I ran over to see who was throwing rocks at my house, but I looked down and saw this bird take its last few breaths before dying. I guess it flew into the window upstairs, fell, hit my BBQ, and then the patio. It was actaully quite depressing. RIP Little Birdy.
