The best theatre in the world is screening one of my fave films tonight, the Return of the Living Dead.
This dude Patrick Sparrow has created special screenprints for the night which I am stoked to buy.
UPDATE! Just got back, and scored some amazing posters!
Summer is winding down, which blows, so I am enjoying as much backyard fire pit time as possible. This weekend we feasted on some steaks and wings.
Also this weekend was a 40% off sale at Beat Goes On, and I ended up scoring a bunch of awesome albums for Treephones. The idea that he is just cruising around the tri cities sans Bushes is too much for me to bare. I managed to score the Friends EP from the Weens for myself, along with Loose Fur, Clinic, and a couple of Becks.
Also, this Dead Cross album has REALLY grown on me. Sounds awesome in The Brid.

So the neighbours just so happened to be cooking up some jerk chicken legs, the same night I was doing some jerk chicken wings, so we just made a night of it. They came over, along with Graeme and his mom, and we had a feast. Too busy inhaling all the food to snag a pic of everything, but this gives you an idea of the meaty goodness.
Not much is better than a stack of orders coming into Encore on a pay week. Mike Krols, GBV's, Sheer Mags, The Cribs, oh my!
Fall came early this Civic Holiday long weekend, as it was colder than a witches tit, although I am not complaining when you have to rip out a giant tree by the roots in your backyard. Most of the weekend was spent out back, and thats exactly what I hoped for. I decided to have a Stephen King double feature out back Sunday night with Stand By Me and IT. 20 minutes into Stand by Me, rain started to fall a little bit. Enough to get me to run my projector into the house, and put out the fire. Once everything was packed up the rain had stopped. Way she goes.
