Spring is approaching and its my yearly tradition to make a new mixed cd for The Brid. The CD deck Tonz gave me has a CD recorder which means I can record songs in real time. So creating a vinyl/cassette to CD mix is pretty damn fun.
Below is the CD art I used creating some random landscape paintings found on Google, as well as the amazing art of Matt Cunningham at www.moonpatrolart.com/. His stuff is so damn cool, and you should check it out.
Kurt rolled into town on Friday night where we had a classic YouTube tune party. Saturday morning he wanted a tour of KW before taking off for Toronto, so we hit breakie at Yeti, Encore Records, X Disc See, Settlement Co., Abe Erb, and then hit uptown for Orange Monkey, DVLB and finished it off with a meat/cheese board at the White Rabbit. I couldn't help but think how much more fun this would have been once the LRT is up and running.
We also celebrated this little mans big birthday. 10 years. WTF.

Gary is doing his yearly all day exploitation marathon dahn in Pittsburgh, and as usual i will be syncing up. I cannot get my hands on all of the films he will be showing, so about 4 or them will be substituted at my house for what will be Grindhahs IV North. Come on by for pulled pork and my friend Miss Vickie.

I picked up one of these neat Apollo buttons last night at their showing of Molly's Game. Sweet pin and a sweet film.
In lieu of watching the Super Bowl, Gary came up with a 4 film mini marathon of football related films. I joined in from my the comfort of my own home, and made some pulled pork which turned out pretty awesome.
The films were The Wanderers, Black Sunday, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and The Last Boy Scout. It would seem the theme of these "football" movies is that each of them had about a 5 minute scene that actually had to do with the sport.
