Pissed Jeans LP has been on the platter all week, but I finally have the CD, which is what really matters. The Brid never sounded better than when Junktime was cranked.

 Matador has finally gotten around to releasing the deluxe version of Terror Twilight, thus completing their reissue series. Why it cost 140 bucks for the 4LP set is beyond me, but I guess thats the way of the world these days. 

 

 Welp, I was apprehensive as all hell, but this new Mr. Bungle recording of their very first demo is pretty amazing. All anxiety is gone with one spin of Anarchy Up Your Anus.

 I am getting antsy for the new Mr. Bungle album this friday, so I busted out one of my copies of Disco Volante.

This was my original copy, which I had pretty much worn out and needed to buy another.  However this copy has the extra artwork that was mailed to me after I did a mail order t shirt back in 1996.

I assume these extra pieces of artwork (the coloured parts), were copywritten and they were not able to include them in the original booklet. They left a place holder for you to cut out and glue these extra pieces.

I scored some sweet compact discs this week for the Brid.  As with most winters, I have been listening to Midnite Vultures from Beck, which has led to me deep diving into some Beck stuff I never really gave an ear to before.  So I snagged his Guero album, which I didn't realize was produced by the Dust Brothers.  Some sweet jams on there.

This is my fave tune on the album, which turns out was written for his buddy Elliott Smith.


Elevator To Hell came from an Amazon purchase.  I have been trying to find this one for a while, and just finally bit the bullet and hit the mighty A.

Soul Glo is a hardcore punk band from Philly.  I love my Philly.


Japanther I found used at Beat Goes On which is sweet since I have kept my open for this one for some time.

 

My favourite Beck album turned 20 years yesterday.  I figured since I was already cranking his new one, I should dust off Vultures and give it a spin. Reissue this album any time now DGC.
