I am getting antsy for the new Mr. Bungle album this friday, so I busted out one of my copies of Disco Volante.

This was my original copy, which I had pretty much worn out and needed to buy another.  However this copy has the extra artwork that was mailed to me after I did a mail order t shirt back in 1996.

I assume these extra pieces of artwork (the coloured parts), were copywritten and they were not able to include them in the original booklet. They left a place holder for you to cut out and glue these extra pieces.

This lyric page was also sent with the lyrics to Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz

Mikey was kind enough to deal with the insane merch booth lineup and scored me this sweet new Bungle shirt form their New York show.

Summer is winding down, which blows, so I am enjoying as much backyard fire pit time as possible.  This weekend we feasted on some steaks and wings.

Also this weekend was a 40% off sale at Beat Goes On, and I ended up scoring a bunch of awesome albums for Treephones.  The idea that he is just cruising around the tri cities sans Bushes is too much for me to bare.   I managed to score the Friends EP from the Weens for myself, along with Loose Fur, Clinic, and a couple of Becks.

Also, this Dead Cross album has REALLY grown on me.  Sounds awesome in The Brid.

So, this is kind of why the internet is awesome.  Someone posted videos of a high school talent show from 1984, featuring a metal band with a young Mike Patton.  Maiden! Priest! Riot! Kiss!
This is too much haha.

As part of my Halloween Horrorthon 2013, I started to watch Mario Bava's "Baron Blood" last night.  I quickly noticed that Mike Patton sampled a lot of sounds from this film on his first Fantomas album. The track "Page 4"

Bought a couple things this week. Got the Mondo Cane record from Mike Patton which is basically him, and an entire orchestra covering his favorite 50s Italian pop songs.


I finally got my Do The Collapse casette from ebay. It comes in a package that looks just like a pack of smokes. It is so cool that I almost dont want to open it.


I just got Sweet Apple which I got a heads up about from Gary. He told me they are opening for GBV on a couple dates and I found out that J Mascis plays drums in the band as well as members of Witch and Cobra Verde. It rocks pretty hard. Imagine Lizzy, Pride Tiger, and Alice Cooper mixed together. All in all a good week in rock.

Too awesome.
