For some reason the mail came on Sunday (bday), and I finally received my new Cribs kit.  I have become obsessed with their latest album, and as with just about everyone of their albums its a ripper and a classic.

Ned and I hit up The Cribs show at Lee's last night and it was fucking awesome.  People were singing, and dancing, and body surfing.  Toronto, is that you??

They closed with Pink Snow, and with that you dont even need an encore.  Kick ass show.

Fall came early this Civic Holiday long weekend, as it was colder than a witches tit, although I am not complaining when you have to rip out a giant tree by the roots in your backyard.  Most of the weekend was spent out back, and thats exactly what I hoped for.  I decided to have a Stephen King double feature out back Sunday night with Stand By Me and IT.  20 minutes into Stand by Me, rain started to fall a little bit.  Enough to get me to run my projector into the house, and put out the fire. Once everything was packed up the rain had stopped.  Way she goes.

The next couple of months have a lot of exciting releases on the way.  GBV, Liars, Bronx, Protomartyr, Mogwai, Oh Sees etc etc etc.  Here are some new music videos from The Cribs, Bronx and Protomartyr.  I am stoked for all of these.

Friday night we hit up the Big Shitty to see the Cribs play a tiny club, for roughly 200 jackt fans.  Shockingly enough, the fans in Toronto were dancing, singing, drinking, and having fun.  No folded arms at this show.  Thats the power of the Cribs.

Also, they closed with Pink Snow from their new album.  Easily one of my fave Cribs tracks of all time.

Stoked for the concert tonight.

Wowee Zowee!  New albums from The Cribs, The Modest Mice, the Built to Spills, the Faith No Mores....this is going to be a great year.

Lauras car is in the shop today, so its a Pappa B truck kinda day for me.  Busted out some tapes for the ride to work, including these new OCS (pre-Thee Oh Sees) which I have never listened to before.

Laura was taking her usual hour in the bathroom this morning so I started to reorganize my 7" records.  So many hits, so little space.

The Cribs just posted a link for their new video for Leather Jacket Love Song. As a video guy, I am fucking blown away by this music video. The way they cut footage of them young and old together is unreal. Love it.

The latest vinyl to come in the mail.  Found this for a really good price on Discogs.com.  Only 500 made!  This also contains probably my favourite Cribs B-Side too.  So great.

The Cribs just played the Reading fest this past weekend. I was all over twitter reading peoples reactions and it sounded like it was one of the greatest shows ever. Some said it was reminiscent of Nirvavas big Reading concert in '92, which got me stoked. Watching these videos made me wish we were there. I FUCKING LOVE THIS BAND.

I missed my chance to buy then new 7" single to the new Cribs single Glitters Like Gold (sold out).  Watching this cheers me up.
