So the Shady Lane Drive-In screen is finished, thanks to the help of Alex Hammertime.  The only issue is when we put it up, things looked wonky, and I assumed the shed was crooked....nope.

While my measurements were accurate, I didn't account for the fact that while I was stretching the screen material onto the frame, that it might skew.  Thats exactly what happened.  Its a couple inches off, but its too late to take it apart and fix it.  Way she goes!

This pig measures in at 107", or 102" depending on which corners you are measuring.

Sunday was way too nice to be inside, so I decided to build my movie screen frame.  The screen itself is waiting for me at Gary's house so I will update this post once I get that bastard stapled onto this frame.  So far its looking pretty cool.

The old piss coloured bed sheet has been ripped off the back shed, and plans for a new and improved screen for Shady Lane Drive-In is pencilled in.  I ordered projection screen material which I will pick up at Garys place in a couple weeks, and the frame will be courtesy of Home Depot, 13 bucks from my wallet, and some elbow grease, which is free.

This whole winter thing is starting to get a little long in the tooth, which leads me to day dream about summer nights in the backyard.  Already thinking of double features to show back there with the new high definition projector.

Higher Learning and PCU are two 90s college based films, but its debatable which one is funnier (Higher Learning is not a comedy).

Liam and Lennon had their first backyard movie experience, where we watched the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.  We had firepits, smores and good times.



Saturday night, like most of Canada, we watched the last Hip show via a youtube stream.

We will soon be showing a handful of episodes of the instant classic, Stranger Things.  Should be fun.

The weather held out last night, and it was a perfect night for backyard flicks.  I picked up some firewood at lunch from some dudes farm house which I found on the Kijiji's.  Thankfully this wood turned out to be really dry and made for perfect camp wood.

Basically it was just Laura and I, until half way through The Final Chapter when Joe and Judy came by just in time for Jason Takes Manhatten.
