I snagged a sweet new food dish for my best bud, and Treephones made a kick ass vinyl sticker to add to it.  Looks bad ass.

Treephones and I finally did our Flaming Lips Zaireeka listening party.  4 stereos, one in each room on the main floor of Shady Lane.  Wild stuff.

Treephones' school has a new, smaller button maker now, so we made good use of it.  I sent him a couple of graphics to make into buttons.  Like a good pal, he dropped them off in my mailbox.  I like the GBV cat one he picked out as well. 

Momma B came by and painted these sweet ass walls.

I had a "Back to School" slasher marathon while it rained outside

This crazy looking cicada was found inside my firepit.

What is amazing about this bug, was when I moved it to my bird feeder, it changed colours to mimic its surroundings.  I could barely find it when I went looking for it.  I guess its bright teal and mint colouring in the firepit photo was to match the colours of the surrounding lawn chairs. I am no expert, but thats what It seems like.

Summer is winding down, which blows, so I am enjoying as much backyard fire pit time as possible.  This weekend we feasted on some steaks and wings.

Also this weekend was a 40% off sale at Beat Goes On, and I ended up scoring a bunch of awesome albums for Treephones.  The idea that he is just cruising around the tri cities sans Bushes is too much for me to bare.   I managed to score the Friends EP from the Weens for myself, along with Loose Fur, Clinic, and a couple of Becks.

Also, this Dead Cross album has REALLY grown on me.  Sounds awesome in The Brid.










 

Pretty low key weekend, which I liked.  I took a little road trip to London, my old Funshawe stomping ground, to hit up Grooves records as it was open on Canada Day.  I have not been to London in years, so it was pretty fun.  Snagged an Erics Trip cd too!

Other than that, most of my weekend was spent in my backyard, as the weather was finally nice, and not wet.

Last night I watched UP THE ACADEMY, which Gary always raved about.  With good reason, as this movie is hilarious.

Treephones scored me this Chicago 7" of the Old Days jam as payment for some poster work. What a sweet ass gift.
