After Portland, we drove to Kittery where we stayed at one of the coolest hotels of the trip.  It was like a little cottage cabin, and the best was awesome.  The only issue was it fucking STUNK.  Turns out the previous person had clams in their fridge for two days.  Whole room smelled like a fish market.  They were unable to give us a a new room as it was booked up, but they gave us 50% off which was nice.  We got the windows open, and a couple dryer sheets in the AC, and it was ok.

The beach at York Beach was BEYOND freezing.  Like sticking your legs into a beer cooler full of ice.  Beach was good though.

We left York Beach and stumbled upon some town called Portsmouth.  We then realized we were in New Hampshire.  That explained all the NH licence plates that we saw.

Laura paid 20 bucks American for this lobster roll.  She said it was worth it.

Our next stop was Portland Maine.  This is a pretty great town, but after 9 other stops in tiny towns, this was a bit of a shocker.  People everywhere, stuff to do, places to go.  We hit up some of the coolest little shops like Strange Maine and Coast City Comics.

This is a great town, and I need to visit it again.

Our first stop after checking into the hotel.  I heard this was a great shop for music and movie lovers, and it is.

Down the street is this amazing comic book shop.

Where I got to play my favourite pinball machine, Tales from the Crypt.

It was 99 cent Miller High Life night at Rosies.

Laura took part in the 2 buck rail drinks at Rosies, and ended up doing a jig in front of this Portland sign

Laura plotting how to steal that glass.  Its now at home.

We walked literally over an hour looking for a place thats open for breakfast.  Thankfully we were pointed in the direction of the water, and came across Becky's.

A quick break from my onslaught of road trip pics.  I spent this past long weekend home alone, relaxing with Hesher after two long weeks of driving and not sleeping on my own bed.  90% of this weekend was spent out in the backyard, cooking shit on the fire pit.

Also, Hesher is 3 years old this past July 1st.  Fkya!

Started off the weekend with a stop at the Apollo for some food, and a screening of Jaws.

My buddy, feeling old.
