I scored the new JEFF The Brotherhood CD at Encore this week. Been digging it. Gone are the straight up rockers, and in it;s place are mid tempo jams. My kind of fall firepit chunes.
This weekend was possibly the last Shady Lane Drive In night of the season, and there was no better way to close it than with a screening of Point Break, and eat some slow cooked ribs.
It has been a full on Elliott Smith obsession this last fortnight. I have finally realized the beauty that is Either/Or, as well as XO. I remember hearing these back in the summer of of 98ish, when the brothers cranked it. I have owned Xo for a couple of years now, but it wasn't until this month that it hit me how good this stuff is. I am now buying up all of the used CDs I can, as well as scoring the reissue of Either Or at Encore. Classic. 10.2938475030892894909058
I pulled out a couple of back to school classics to watch this week. I have not watched Pledge Night in a while, so I am especially stoked to watched that one again in all its Anthrax glory.
