Got some new tunes during our Pittsburgh trip. My discogs order of the new Cribs album and singles came in, and Nick gave me the wonderful gift of a Thin Lizzy album.
So Eddie Orso brought this guy to my attention and I am really glad he did. This fucking guy loves his GBV and he clearly loves his Thin Lizzy, as you can tell by listening to the song below. Killer jams.
I highly recommend you pick up his new album. Chris at Encore got jackt and ordered it into the store. "On Dissed And Dismissed, Molina intensifies the slacker clichés and self-deprecation of 90s indie rock into absurdist hyperbole. He expresses vulnerability and melodrama through bizarre truisms while referencing his forebears: Thin Lizzy leads, Radiohead lyrics, Replacements sneer. Molina appropriates unapologetically (openly paying tribute to Guided By Voices with a sterling cover of their "Wondering Boy Poet"), but distills the past into bursts of reverence less than a minute long." Go get in!
Landed in Dublin after a half hour flight from Glasgow. Took the bus into town and started to wall to out hostel. It was this walk through town that blew me away. This city is incredible. So old and nice and packed with pubs and people. So bizarre being in a pub that is from the 1100's when the ones from the 90s look the same. Everyone here is so nice and they really do take pride in their Guinness. Something weird though is my total lack of the infamous Guinness farts and shits. This must be the good stuff they have here. We spent days walking and eating and pub jumping. We hit the Jameson brewery which was fun. They have 12 year old Jameson that you can only get at that bar. We went to a Phil Lynott exhibit which pumped me up a lot. I have a lot of videos and pix to show. Today we are going back to the Guinness factory and then flying to London late tonight. We have a 6am flight to Split in the morning. Fkya!!

Here you go Adrian....
This was always so hard to do so I told myself I have to make a top 10 list within 5 minutes. No over thinking. Its harder than it seems. Mainly beacause I keep looking at what is missing. At The Drive Ins "Relationship of Command", Refused's "The Shape of Punk To Come", Thin Lizzys "Fighting", Alice Coopers "Billion Dollar Babies" etc.
I am sure half of these will change in the near future.....maybe even tomorrow. However the top 3 have been those three for a good number of years now.

Gary Moore, of Thin Lizzy died this weekend. Please play this at full volume.
One of my favorite moments of this past cottage trip was turning people on to the might Diamond Nights. Saw this band rip it up at Starlight playing an Illuminati show. They ruled and still do. Hope they are not broken up. I cannot find any updates.
If you are a Thin Lizzy fan crank this. If you don't like Thin Lizzy then get off my blog.
