Summer is winding down, which blows, so I am enjoying as much backyard fire pit time as possible.  This weekend we feasted on some steaks and wings.

Also this weekend was a 40% off sale at Beat Goes On, and I ended up scoring a bunch of awesome albums for Treephones.  The idea that he is just cruising around the tri cities sans Bushes is too much for me to bare.   I managed to score the Friends EP from the Weens for myself, along with Loose Fur, Clinic, and a couple of Becks.

Also, this Dead Cross album has REALLY grown on me.  Sounds awesome in The Brid.










 

Todays earworm. I cant get this out of my head.  Great video too.

I stumbled upon this short film last night on my Apple TV.  A great band, playing a song I have never heard, and all shot on beautiful film.

I really hope TNV did not break up.

It was fun seeing the title sequence I made up on the big screen.  I managed to take a couple of pics.

The big scare at the end still worked!

 

Fall is in full swing, and that means its time to Smash Your Head on the Punk Rock.  Ever since high school I always find myself going back to this Sebadoh album when fall is upon us.  That sweet lo-fi treble got me in the mood to bust out the most lo-fi album ever made, Time New Viking's Rip It Off.  These two are currently on rotation in the car.
