One of my favourite things on a Saturday morning after pay day, is to get up and get out to my fave record and video stores and go hunting. Downed some coffee and hit up Encore, Orange Monkey, as well as three Value Villages. Turns out VV is a gold mind for old VHS movies. Not a lot of horror flicks though, which is really what I am looking for.
Congrats to me, for being the 80,000th viewer of my own blog. I think I will reward myself with a lunch pint.
I just got back from Texas Chainsaw with Jim and Jess. I thought this movie would be bad, and it was, in the greatest fucking way possible. This is bad in the way Sleepaway Camp is bad, meaning its amazing. The acting was cheesy, the dialogue cracked me up, the clichés were nowhere near tongue in cheek, and it was just campy as hell.
The opening credits were incredible as they incorporated footage from the original and made it 3D.
The whole time I was laughing. An hour in Jim and I looked at each other and both whispered "this is fucking incredible!"
Jess looked at us at the end of the movie and said how bad it was. It took her a while to realize we weren't busting her balls when we said how much we loved it.
Jim suggested going to the 10 O' Clock show. It wasn't a bad idea.

Got paid this week which means its time to pre order the new Bronx album. I got this package with a T Shirt, Tote bag, LP, CD, and a Chinese box with a fortune cookie. All for 50 bucks! I am glad that we have a new Bronx album this year, and that Mariachi El Bronx will take a rest for a while. Pumped.
This film lived up to all the hype, and then some. This and D'Jango....films of the year.
