The three-year wait for a new Malkmus tune has ended. The nothing-but-alt “Senator” is the first noise we’re hearing from the forthcoming Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks album Mirror Traffic. Considering the scandalous political hullabaloo as of late, Malkmus’ prescience couldn’t me more apt when he describes what a senator really wants. Check out the track below (via Cause=Time).
Also released is the tracklist for the Beck-produced album. 15 tracks of geetar goodness will drop August 23rd via Matador Records.
