I hit my beloved Encore this past Sunday. The new place really is quite amazing. Lots of light. Lots of space. Love it.
I scored the reissue of the classic Mogwai album Come On Die Young, as well as a Minor Threat record.
I spotted this in the GBV section. I have never heard of it, but sampled some tunes when I got home and ended up buying it for 6 bucks on the iTunes. Pretty great. |
Cranking tunes with my buddy. |
We booked it six months ago, and that weekend is here, well, in 4 days. Three nights at the Dunes! I can only imagine that our late night drunkin conversations will be this good.
I am way too fired up. Laura and I booked sites 72 and 76. By the looks of this map they are sweet ass spots, but we will see when we get there. They are some of the closest spots to the beach. That ice cold beach.
This past Friday, Bill, Rob, and the Tri-Bekta hit up London Ontario for Hawk Rocks the Park. This was the first time I ever saw Extreme, and the first time I ever experienced alcohol induced scoliosis.
Nuno sounded as awesome as I expected, and Sammy Hagar ruled as always. Good times.
Jeremy came into town on Sunday, so that always means patio beerce, tunes, and ribs.
Slow cooked these fuckers for a good 3 hours. |
During the saucing phase of the ribs, I decided I wanted to try to do it over our fire pit to add some smokey flavour to it. Good lord was that a good plan. |
Sauce. Cook 5 mins. Flip. Sauce. Repeat. |
I wasn't too happy with the previous VHS cover I was working on for this mixed tape, so I scrapped it and went on to redesign it. I decided to make it resemble the packaging of those classic Ben Cooper halloween masks. I took this image from Google images, and ran with it. I like it far more than the previous one.
This is the image I found on Google, and I just loved the look of it so I used it. |
Here is the current "final" design. |
Below are a couple of examples of the different VHS covers.
